THE FRIENDSHIP TABLE

is an intentional, residential community of spirit in High Point, North Carolina. We are a small group of justice seekers and spiritual pilgrims gathering in prayer, growing in formation and serving alongside leaders in the High Point community to alleviate food insecurity.

purpose

The Friendship Table exists to respond to the interconnected hunger—both physical and spiritual—experienced by our community. Through a faith-based, justice-driven residential New Monastic program, we invite young adults to live and serve in High Point, North Carolina, engaging deeply with the local food crisis while exploring vocation, leadership, and communal life. Rooted in the vision of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, we believe transformation begins at the intersection of neighborly love, radical hospitality, and the shared table. The Friendship Table intends to create a learning environment that will drive our community into the future of sustainable practices from our current food crises.

We will have a substantial focus on spiritual formation and vocational discernment throughout the year as we explore the intersection of Christian faith and service. This opportunity will provide particular access to innovative leaders in High Point. Each member will be equipped with opportunities to enhance their vocational interests throughout this program. Participants will directly contribute to the initiative, bringing their own experiences, ideas, and insights to the Table.
