The Friendship Table: Feeding the [a] hunger for justice, connection and communion as an intentional community COMMITTED to Christian Prayer, Formation and Service
Our Mission: Rooted in faith, we are a New Monastic community living out God’s love through food justice, spiritual formation, and fellowship. We respond to the hunger for connection, purpose, and justice by cultivating community and serving our neighbors.
Our vision is a bigger table, The Friendship Table, with room for everyone. We envision a world where no one is excluded from the table—where access to healthy, affordable, and culturally meaningful food is a shared right, where communities are rooted in justice, connection, and love; a world in which young leaders live out God’s love through intentional community and transformative service, reveal the beauty of God’s kingdom in everyday life; a world in which the lines between “us” and “other” will vanish, and all will gather as neighbors at one shared, sacred table.
Applications to our 2026 Cohort are now being accepted. This opportunity, grounded in the tenets of “the new monasticism” and community service is open to individuals from any denomination or tradition who are interested in exploring a life of Christian faith more deeply. We are committed to providing a spiritual formation experience for young adults and an outwardly transformative movement in the world. Through nurturing a rhythm of prayer, study, reflection, communal engagement and labor, we hope to seek and serve Christ in companionship with all God’s children in the community of High Point and beyond.
